Cadillac Lease Calculator

This Cadillac lease calculator estimates the monthly payment, amount due at signing and total cost of leasing a Cadillac, from a CT4 sedan to an Escalade or one of Cadillac’s electric SUVs.

Luxury cars lose more of their value in the first few years than mainstream models, and leasing hands that risk to the lender. That is a big reason why so many Cadillacs, especially the new EVs, are leased rather than bought.

Cadillac Financial and How a Luxury Lease Differs

Cadillac leases are written by Cadillac Financial, the Cadillac brand of GM Financial. The structure is the same as any lease: depreciation plus a rent charge, then tax. What changes on a luxury car is the size of each piece.

  • Bigger depreciation. A higher price and a lower residual percentage mean you pay for more lost value each month.
  • Rent charge matters more. The rent charge is calculated on the cap cost plus the residual, so on a $60,000-plus vehicle even a small money factor markup adds a lot.
  • Incentives do the heavy lifting. Cadillac often supports leases with lease cash or a subsidized money factor. These can make a more expensive model cost less per month than a cheaper one.

The Four Numbers in Every Cadillac Lease

MSRP

The full sticker price, including destination and options. Cadillac option packages add up quickly, and the residual is a percentage of this number.

Selling Price

The price you negotiate before lease credits. Cadillac dealers often discount sedans and EVs more than Escalades.

Residual Value

Cadillac Financial sets the residual each month. Luxury models usually lose value faster than mainstream cars, so residuals are lower, which means more depreciation for you to pay.

Money Factor

The finance charge as a decimal. On a high-priced Cadillac, the rent charge is a large part of the payment, so a lower money factor or a promotional rate is worth more than on a cheaper car.

How to Use the Calculator for a Cadillac Quote

  1. Choose the model and enter MSRP and the negotiated selling price from the dealer’s worksheet.
  2. Enter the residual value and money factor that Cadillac Financial is using this month for your term and mileage.
  3. Add money down, trade-in equity and any Cadillac lease cash or loyalty offers.
  4. Fill in the acquisition fee, doc fee, sales tax and how your state taxes leases, then press Calculate Lease.

Example: Leasing a Cadillac Electric SUV

The example uses an electric Cadillac SUV with a $62,000 MSRP, negotiated to $59,000, with $2,500 down, a 52% residual and a 0.00260 money factor (6.24% APR) over 36 months and 10,000 miles a year, taxed at 7% per payment. The numbers are an example, not a Cadillac offer.

StepMathResult
Adjusted cap cost$59,000 − $2,500$56,500.00
Residual value$62,000 × 52%$32,240.00
Monthly depreciation($56,500 − $32,240) ÷ 36$673.89
Monthly rent charge($56,500 + $32,240) × 0.00260$230.72
Base payment$673.89 + $230.72$904.61
Payment with 7% tax$904.61 × 1.07$967.94

A residual a few points higher, or a few thousand dollars of lease cash, would bring this payment down noticeably, so compare current Cadillac EV offers before you choose a model.

Leasing a Cadillac EV: Lyriq, Optiq, Vistiq and Escalade IQ

Cadillac’s electric lineup has grown quickly, and EVs are a natural fit for leasing because battery technology and resale values are still changing. If prices drop or a better model arrives, a lease lets you hand the car back instead of absorbing the loss.

Keep in mind that the federal $7,500 clean vehicle credit, which used to lower many EV lease payments, ended on September 30, 2025. Any EV discount now comes from Cadillac itself, as lease cash or a reduced money factor. Home charging equipment is a separate cost that the calculator does not include.

Escalade Leases: Big Price, Big Payment

The Escalade and Escalade ESV are among the most expensive vehicles GM sells, so their lease payments are large even with good residuals. Two tips help: compare the Escalade with the extended ESV, since the payment difference may be smaller than the price difference, and check the taxes carefully. In states that tax the full price upfront, the tax on an Escalade lease can be several thousand dollars at signing.

Returning a Cadillac at Lease End

Cadillac Financial follows GM Financial’s lease-end process. You can schedule a complimentary pre-return inspection at home, at work or at a dealership, then buy the vehicle, return it, or move into a new GM vehicle. The disposition fee may be waived if you lease or buy a new GM vehicle or buy your Cadillac, and a partial excess wear waiver may apply when you get another new GM vehicle.

Sales Tax on a Cadillac Lease

Because Cadillacs are expensive, the way your state taxes leases matters a lot. When tax is charged monthly, you pay tax only on the payments. When it is charged on the full price upfront, as in Texas, the tax on a $100,000 Escalade can be several thousand dollars at signing. Some states also tax lease credits or rebates. Set the tax method in the calculator to match your state before comparing a lease with a loan.

Lease or Buy a Cadillac?

For most Cadillac shoppers, leasing is the more common choice. Luxury cars lose value quickly in their first years, the warranty covers the whole of a typical lease, and Cadillac Financial carries the risk if resale values drop, especially on EVs. Buying makes more sense if you want to keep the car for many years after the warranty ends, or if you drive so much that mileage charges would outweigh the savings. Compare the calculator’s total cost with the loan payments over the same period, minus the car’s expected trade-in value.

Leasing a Cadillac Sedan: CT4 and CT5

Cadillac’s sedans, the CT4 and CT5, cost less than its SUVs and are often discounted more heavily. Sedans in the luxury segment tend to lose value faster than SUVs, so their residuals are often lower. A big discount and Cadillac lease credits can make up for that. If you want a sporty sedan, the V-Series versions cost more and wear performance tires, which can be expensive to replace before turn-in.

Picking a Mileage Plan for a Cadillac

Many luxury leases are quoted at 10,000 miles a year, which keeps the payment low but is less than many drivers cover. Overage on a Cadillac can be expensive, often around 25 cents a mile. If you drive 13,000 miles a year on a 10,000-mile plan, that is 9,000 extra miles over three years, or about $2,250 at lease end. Buying miles at signing raises the payment a little but usually costs less. Enter your real yearly miles in the calculator to see which plan is cheapest.

What Is Due at Signing on a Cadillac Lease

A Cadillac lease worksheet usually lists the first payment, the acquisition fee, the dealer documentation fee, title and registration and any cash down. On expensive models, upfront tax in some states adds a large amount. Cadillac sometimes advertises a payment with several thousand dollars due at signing; dividing that amount by the term and adding it to the payment gives a fairer comparison. The calculator’s total cost does this for you.

Insurance on a Leased Cadillac

Lease contracts require comprehensive and collision coverage and usually higher liability limits than the state minimum. Insurance on a Cadillac, especially an Escalade or V-Series, can be a large monthly cost. Get a quote before you sign, and check whether GAP coverage is included in your lease.

Cadillac Versus German Rivals

A Cadillac XT5 or Lyriq is often cross-shopped with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE or Audi Q8 e-tron. German brands sometimes have higher residuals, but Cadillac tends to discount more and add lease credits. Some rivals also include scheduled maintenance, which Cadillac may not. Compare each option in the calculator with the same term and miles, then add any maintenance costs you would pay yourself.

Ending a Cadillac Lease Early

Life changes, and a lease is a fixed contract. If you need to get out early, you can usually buy the car out, trade it in to a dealer who pays off the lease, or ask Cadillac Financial about a lease transfer where permitted. Turning it in early often triggers an early termination charge. Ask for a payoff quote first, because if the car is worth more than the payoff, a trade-in may cost you nothing.

Where the Numbers Come From

The calculator uses the standard lease formula, the same one Cadillac Financial uses: depreciation plus a rent charge, with tax applied the way your state requires. It does not load current Cadillac offers. Use your quote’s figures to check the dealer’s math.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who finances Cadillac leases?

Cadillac leases are financed by Cadillac Financial, which is part of GM Financial. It sets the residual values and base money factors for each Cadillac model.

Why do so many people lease a Cadillac?

Luxury vehicles tend to lose value quickly, and a lease puts that risk on the lender. Cadillac also supports many models, especially EVs, with lease-only incentives.

Is it better to lease or buy a Cadillac EV?

Leasing is often the safer choice for an EV because you are protected if resale values fall or newer models arrive. Buying can cost less if you plan to keep the car for many years.

Does the federal tax credit apply to Cadillac EV leases?

No. The federal clean vehicle credit ended on September 30, 2025. Check for Cadillac lease cash or a subsidized money factor instead.

Which parts of a Cadillac lease are negotiable?

The selling price, dealer add-ons and the money factor, if the dealer has marked it up. The residual value is set by the lender and does not change between dealers.

What is due at signing on a Cadillac lease?

Usually the first payment, the acquisition fee, any down payment, the dealer doc fee, registration and taxes. In some states the full sales tax is due upfront, which can be a large amount on an Escalade.

Is buying out a Cadillac lease a good idea?

It can be. Compare the purchase price in your contract with what similar used models sell for. If the buyout is lower, buying may be the better deal.

How many miles do I get on a Cadillac lease?

Cadillac lease ads usually assume 10,000 miles a year, and higher plans are available. Your contract lists the allowance and the per-mile overage charge.

Can I end a Cadillac lease early?

Yes, by buying the car out, trading it in or, where allowed, transferring the lease. Returning it early usually brings an early termination charge, so ask for a payoff quote first.

Does Cadillac Financial waive the disposition fee?

It may be waived when you lease or buy another new GM vehicle, or when you buy your leased Cadillac.
